Armenia, Georgia Foreign Ministers Meet Frequently So As to Avoid Problems

There are no issues between Georgia and Armenia that cannot be solved through negotiations, said Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian while in Tbilisi, reports GHN.

Georgian foreign minister Grigol Vashadze, in turn, said that Armenia and Georgia will continue to maintain existing relations.

“We agreed to meet not just once, but several times a year. We are currently ratifying this agreement. Sometimes you hear such questions: you have that many problematic issues that you have to meet with such frequency? That’s why I and my colleague Mr. Edward Nalbandian meet, so that there will be no problems between Georgia and Armenia,” Vashadze said.

Georgia’s foreign minister pointed out as well that all relevant issues were discussed at the meeting.

“I want to note that the two countries have never had such relations as now. The two presidents made an enormous contribution in this matter. We specifically discussed high-level visits, cooperation in international agencies, how our cooperation in the area of transport and economy has to develop. We spoke of humanitarian aspects, including organizing weeks of culture in Armenia and Georgia,” said Vashadze.
