Red Cross Representatives Visit Armenian POWs in Azerbaijan

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited 3 Armenian soldiers and 5 civilian members of one family held in Azerbaijan.

ICRC Baku Office spokesperson Shahla Gahramanova told Trend news agency that ICRC representatives delivered four Red Cross letters and three verbal messages to the prisoners. In turn, they sent back five Red Cross letters to their families.

Recall, on Jul. 5, ICRC reps visited Azerbaijan POW Roman Huseinov in Armenia.

During the visit, the Red Cross monitored Huseinov’s health and the conditions under which the POWs are being kept. They also handed over a letter from his family back home and sent the letter he wrote to his family to Azerbaijan.
