Soldier Dies at Armenia-Azerbaijan Border

At around 5 pm on Dec. 14, at the defense positions of Movses village, on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, resident of the city of Berd, contract soldier Hrant Poghosyan, 26, died.

Speaking to Epress.am, RA Ministry of Defense spokesperson Artsrum Hovhannisyan said that Poghosyan died from an enemy bullet and there are no other victims.

"The incident once again shows that the Azerbaijani side, ignoring the calls of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, continues its constant approach to violate the ceasefire, particularly when the co-chairs' are in Baku. As a result, the actions of the Armenian Armed Forces are going to be preventative and strict," reads a statement issued by the RA Ministry of Defense.
