Four soldiers of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army were killed on Friday, September 25 in one of the northeastern military units of the defense army as Azerbaijani forces opened fire towards Armenian positions using Turkish-made TR-107 rocket launchers, the NKR Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The soldiers – Norayr Khachatryan (20), Robert Mkrtchyan (20), Harut Hakobyan (18), and Karen Shahinyan (18) – died from shrapnel wounds, officials reported.
As noted in the Ministry's statement, there are also several wounded soldiers. An investigation has been launched into the details of the incident.
