Armenians, Russians and Georgians Majority of Refugee Claimants in Poland

From January 1 to August 5, 2010, Poland’s Immigration Services received 3,417 refugee claims. 

A majority of those claims, 2,396 to be exact, were made by citizens of Russia, while 624 came from Georgia and 55 from Armenia.

Temporary residence permits have been granted to 53 citizens of Armenia, 64 citizens of Russia and 685 citizens of Russia (not all were refugee claims), 33 to those from Vietnam and 12 from Belarus, reports Georgia Online.
