Already three years has passed since Armenian-Turkish weekly Agos editor Hrant Dink’s murder; however, those bodies in Turkey investigating the case are still unable to provide clear answers.
Turkish news source Milliyet, in a story today, highlighted recent developments in the case. According to Milliyet, Ankara’s Chief Prosecutor’s Office wrote a letter to PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan asking to be allowed to begin an investigation to clarify whether the country’s National Intelligence Agency (MIT) was in any way connected with Dink’s death — specifically, whether they exhibited negligence in the case. MIT’s response? “We have not document or information,” after which the prime minister decided to give permission for an investigation.
