Kazakhstan to Deport Armenian Citizen

Kazakhstan is preparing to extradite a citizen of the Republic of Armenia who’s accused of fraud back in Armenia, said regional prosecution press service director Ahmed Balmashev to IA News Kazakhstan.

According to Balmashev, back in March 2010, RA citizen Gevorg Hovhannisyan was arrested for 10 days for being in the country illegally, after which they were to deport him back to Armenia.

“However, the foreigner continued to live in Kazakhstan illegally, which the country’s law enforcement bodies couldn’t have not known. It turns out that he has criminal charges in Armenia and the prosecution has sanctioned for his arrest,” said Balmashev.
