Book on Nagorno-Karabakh as ‘Important Means of Information Campaign’

The launch for Alexander Manasyan’s book “Mountainous Karabakh: How did it happen?” took place at Henaran Press Club in Yerevan today.

Five hundred copies of the book have been printed, which will be sent to the libraries of all educational institutions. The book is intended for the general public.

The book’s author informed journalists that great significance is given in his work to the presentation and analysis of important arguments and circumstances not properly accounted for in the current negotiations process, which, in Manasyan’s words, will make the current conflict settlement process more effective.

“With such arguments and publications we have to show the whole world that Azerbaijan doesn’t have any historical, political or legal right that it can use against us,” he said.

Alen Ghevondyan, an expert with the RA Presidential Administration’s Center for Public Relations and Information, present during the book launch, said that the book is currently being translated into 3 languages: Persian, English and Russian.

Ghevondyan told the press that the publication of this book is only the beginning:

“The process is going to be ongoing: planned in the future is also the wide distribution of DVD players [meaning, DVDs], which is one of the important means of information campaigns,” he said.
