A number of French companies, while meeting with Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız on Wednesday, have expressed their interest in participating in the Nabucco project.
Jean Lemierre, chair of the French-Turkish Businessmen Council, who headed the delegation from Movement of the French Enterprises (MEDEF), confirmed the news, saying that France would like to join the project.
According to Today’s Zaman, Yıldız said that Turkey’s doors are always open to French investors.
Recall that Turkey’s government earlier had vetoed French companies from participating in the project, considering France’s position on the Armenian Genocide.
