Armenia, Slovakia Sign Military Cooperation Agreement

On Nov. 22, during his official visit to Slovakia, RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan met with the country’s defense minister Ľubomír Galko, reports the RA Ministry of Defense.

The two defense ministers signed an agreement on “cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Slovakia in the military sector,” which outlines cooperation in the following areas: military education and specialized training for military personnel, military medical treatment, peacekeeping, exchange of experience in the area of reviewing strategic defense and so on. 

Ohanyan laid a wreath at the monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide. 

On Nov. 23, the delegation led by Armenia’s defense minister left for Hungary, where discussions on military cooperation are also planned to take place.
