Local initiative “We are against the re-opening of foreign language schools” will be protesting in front of the Armenian government, Ministry of Education and Science, presidential residence and the National Assembly (parliament) buildings. According to a statement released by the group, the march will begin tomorrow, on Dec. 14, at 10 am in front of the main entrance to the president’s residence in Yerevan.
“The government has included the notorious bill on foreign-language schools on the agenda of the National Assembly extraordinary meeting. Basically, there is an attempt to include, unnoticed, the ‘reform’ rejected by the public in the list of laws before the new year. Once again the government displays its contemptuous and negative attitude for our national, civic and human dignity and the idea and reality of Independent Armenia,” reads the statement.
