Garegin II Underwent Surgery in the US

His Holiness Catholicos Garegin (Karekin) II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, is currently in the US, reports local Armenian daily Yerkir (“Country”).

According to Yerkir, the intent of HH Catholicos Garegin II’s trip was to undergo surgery, which he did successfully.  He is now in the post-surgery recovery period.

In order to confirm the news, the paper attempted to contact the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin press department, but its calls were unanswered.
