Movsisyan to Play in Russia’s Premier League

A meeting of the Russian Premier League took place today in Moscow in which it was decided that FC Saturn (Moscow), which withdrew from the Highest Russian League for financial reasons, will be replaced with FC Krasnodar.

Earlier, Epress.am had reported that FC Krasnodar was interested in acquiring Armenian national team and Danish FC Randers forward Yura Movsisyan, who had gone to Russia and acquired a preliminary agreement to be transferred to the club. It only remained to receive confirmation that millionaire Sergei Galitsky’s football club would be playing in Russia’s Premier League.

After this news, a number of Armenian media outlets, including sports media, denied reports of Movsisyan’s transfer. However, Danish publication Ekstra Bladet reports that the Russian football club has paid $2.5 million US to acquire the Armenian forward.
