Number of Police Officers Decreased After US Ambassador Arrived on Scene

Just earlier, US Ambassador to Armenia Marie L. Yovanovitch was sen entering the RA presidential residence. As previously reported, also gathered at the president’s residence are vendors protesting the Yerevan mayor’s ban on street trade, four of whom were invited to come inside and speak to a member of the presidential staff.

During Ambassador Yovanovitch’s visit, the number of police officers controlling the crowd decreased, and now only a few officers remain diligently keeping an eye on the demonstrators.
