Aronian Settles for Draw in Round 11 of Tata Steel

In round 11 of the 73rd annual Tata Steel Chess Tournament in the Dutch city of Wijk aan Zee, Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian settled for a draw after 64 moves with white in a Bogo-Indian against former FIDE world champion Ruslan Ponomariov of Ukraine.

Aronian with 7 points is now in third place, one point behind Hikaru Nakamura of the US. In second place is India’s Viswanathan Anand with 7.5 points.

Today Aronian with black will play against Erwin l’Ami of the Netherlands.
