No citizen of the Republic of Armenia has yet approached TezTour company to ask for a refund on their tickets to Egypt, said the director of the company’s Armenian branch Narine Davtyan, speaking to Epress.am and adding that, nevertheless, people are worried.
Asked how the tour company would respond if RA citizens were to ask for refunds, Davtyan said, “Now, there’s no problem. Of course, we should meet [customers’] demands. Firstly, people’s safety is important.”
Note that TezTour is the main operator of tours to Egypt from Armenia.
Levon Travel director Anahit Papazyan told Epress.am that there were two incidents today in which travelers approached them on this issue.
“We’ve contacted the airline company operating the flight and in both cases a decision was made wholly in favor of the passengers,” she said.
Asked how the situation stands currently, the company director said she can’t provide specific details. “There are passengers who return their tickets and those who don’t.”
Note that Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised citizens of Armenia to refrain from traveling to the north African country at this time.
