Armenian-Canadians will be protesting outside the Azerbaijan Embassy on Feb. 22 at 12 pm. The poster for the rally, seemingly organized by the Armenian Youth Federation of Canada (the youth wing of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, or Dashnaktsutyun) and the student association Armen Karo, notes the reason for the protest as being “Remembering Sumgait and the Destruction of UNESCO-Protected Khachkars.”
“Destroying World Heritage is Aggression Against Us ALL!” it continues.
Note, buses will depart from the Armenian Community Centres at Montreal (9 am) and Toronto (6 am) for those who are interested in participating in the protest.
