Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq has ordered governors to name streets after the Jan. 25 Revolution martyrs, reports Ahram Online.
Shafiq assigned governors to rename the streets where each martyr lived after them in appreciation of their role in the historical uprising against the government.
Meanwhile, it is only a matter of time before the Mubarak metro station is also renamed. Since the former president’s ouster, his name has been inked out of maps on metro trains with shohada’ (martyrs) written by hand in its place.
