At 12 pm today, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis, visiting the region this week, will hold a press conference in the Armenian foreign ministry building.
There are already posters and placards placed outside the building with such inscriptions as “We Demand to Recognize the Self-Determination of NKR,” “The Youth of NKR Calls OSCE for Dialogue,” and “The Youth of NKR – No: Madrid Principles.”
The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office was in Baku from Mar. 13–14, in Tbilisi from Mar. 15–16, and in Yerevan yesterday and today.
Ažubalis has met with government leaders and representatives of political parties in all three countries to discuss OSCE work in the region and the Lithuanian Chairmanship’s priorities for 2011.
According to a press release on the OSCE website, “progress towards resolution of protracted conflicts in the OSCE region is a key priority of Lithuania’s OSCE Chairmanship.”
