Weeks ago, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with RA Police Chief Alik Sargsyan and entrusted him with the task of doing everything possible so that Armenia’s police are not inferior to Georgian police, reports local daily Jamanak (“Times”).
“Serzh Sargsyan permitted Alik Sargsyan to make bold personnel decisions to reach this aim. Yesterday’s decision to release Yerevan Road Police Chief Arsen Arshakyan from his post is the first step in carrying out this assignment,” reports Jamanak.
