Film Depicting Events of March 1, 2008, in Armenia Sent to Local TV Stations

A 124-minute film titled “Armenia’s Lost Spring” which describes the events leading up to and including March 1 and 2, 2008, has been sent to Armenian TV stations, reports local daily Haykakan Jamanak (“Armenian Times”).

All 11 TV companies operating in Yerevan, as well as GALA TV and Tsayg in Gyumri, Vanadzor’s Lori TV, and the management of Moscow Cinema in Yerevan have been sent a copy of the film as well as the film synopsis by filmmaker Tigran Paskevichyan. The filmmaker has suggested the TV stations find airtime to broadcast the film within the coming month and for the movie theatre to organize a film screening. The letter sent to the aforementioned TV stations and movie theatre notes that the required payment for screening or broadcasting the film will be paid.

Paskevichyan also stressed that he expects a written explanation if the film is refused to be screened or broadcast.

Note the film is currently only available in Armenian.
