11 Years Later, Armenia’s National Football Team will Play in Lithuania

Armenia’s national football (soccer) team will play a friendly match with Lithuania’s national team on Aug. 19, 2011, in Kaunas, Lithuania.

The two teams played against each other only once in their history, in 2000, when Armenia celebrated a 2-1 victory over the Baltic team. Note, this match will take place ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifiers. In Sept., Armenia will have two away games — with Slovenia and Andorra.

On the most recent FIFA world ranking list, Armenia ranks 62nd place, while Lithuania, 46th.
