25 Eurovision Final Contestants Named. Emmy Protests Voting Results

The second semi-final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest took place on May 12 in the German city of Düsseldorf with 10 out of 19 countries qualifying for the grand final. These countries are: Estonia, Romania, Moldova, Ireland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Denmark, Austria, Ukraine, Slovenia and Sweden.

Thus, the following countries will be competing in the final to be held on May 14:

  9. Greece
  10. Russia

  25. Georgia

Recall, Emmy, representing Armenia with the song “Boom Boom,” was left out of the running from the first semi-final. As reported by News.am yesterday, Emmy’s manager, along with the representatives of four other Eurovision contestants that were voted out of the first semi-minal, have filed an appeal of the decision to European broadcasters. They claim that the first semi-final was “not well broadcasted in some European states” and that fans were unable to send sms votes.
