Gas prices again went up at all petrol stations in Yerevan yesterday, reports local daily Yerkir.
According to Yerkir, regular gas was being sold for 460 drams [$1.24 US] per liter, as compared to the previous 450 drams [$1.22 US], while Premium prices had gone up to 480 drams [$1.30 US].
“It’s noteworthy that petrol becomes expensive when a drop in oil prices in the international market is observed. At the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) yesterday, the price of 1 barrel of oil (159 L) dropped by $4 US from the previous day and was being sold for $113.57 US.
“While oil prices in the international market are at Mar. 15 levels, 1 liter of regular gas in Armenia is being sold for 420 drams [$1.14 US],” writes Yerkir.
