Eurovision Voting Results Publicized: Emmy had 33 Points from Jury

Today, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) officially revealed the split televoting and jury voting results of the Semi-Finals and Final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. Viewers at home also ranked winner Azerbaijan first, while juries of music industry professionals had Italy on top of their list.

Audiences ranked Azerbaijan’s entry Running Scared first with 223 points, while juries awarded the song a second place (with 182 points). Italy won the jury vote (with 251 points), but ended up in second place in the combined result after televoters had made up their minds.

The jury also awarded high points to Denmark (168 points), Slovenia (160 points), Austria (145 points), Ireland (119 points), Ukraine (117 points), Serbia (111 points), Sweden (106 points) and Germany (104 points).

Out of the 25 contestants competing in the final this year, Russia was ranked last by the jury (it was awarded a mere 25 points).

Armenia’s contestant, Emmy, who didn’t make it to the final, was awarded 33 points by the jury and 75 by televoters, getting a combined score of 54 points in the first semi-final.

By the way, Azerbaijan was awarded 122 points in total in the first semi-final, coming in second after Greece (133 points).
