Levon Zurabyan Explains What Armenian National Congress Meant by ‘Neutral Venue’

After the first meeting between the Armenian National Congress (HAK) and ruling coalition representatives, which took place on Jul. 18 in a Erebuni Hotel meeting room where Public Council meetings usually take place, HAK had requested that future meetings take place in a neutral venue. The next meeting venue became known today: it will take place in the RA Government Guest House on Jul. 26 at 12 pm.

Epress.am attempted to find out from senior HAK representative Levon Zurabyan about his opinion on the neutrality of the chosen venue.

“When we said ‘neutral venue,’ we meant that it shouldn’t be any building in which operates any state institution or discredited establishment, as is the Public Council. The Government Guest House is simply a hotel-like convenience, which is considered state property; that is, it is on the government’s balance sheet,” he said.
