Armenian National Team Athletes’ Compulsory Military Service Deferred

The Government of Armenia today decided to defer Armenian boxing national team member Armen Simonyan and Armenian national U19 football team member Hayk Ghazaryan from compulsory military service till 2013.

In addition, deferment was given to clerics of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, monks and students of the St. Hakobyants monastery in Jerusalem and students of Calcutta Benevolent Seminary in India from compulsory military service till 2012.
