CCTV Cameras on Yerevan Intersections in Effect from Jan. 16

The CCTV cameras to monitor traffic and the speedometers to measure speed placed around Yerevan will begin operating on Jan. 16, 2012, reports the RA Police press service.

The cameras are placed at the following intersections:
Abovyan-Koryun
Komitas-Vagharshyan
Baghramyan-Moskovyan
Baghramyan-Proshyan
Mashtots-Tumanyan
Mashtots-Amiryan
Khanjyan-Tigran Mets
Khanjyan-Sayat Nova
Arshakunyats-Grigor Lusavorich
Arshakunyats-Garegin Nzhdeh

Speedometers are placed on the following streets:
Isakovi
Arshakunyats
Myasnikyan
Tbilisyan
Athenki
Bagratunyats
Saralanchi
Ajaryan
Leningradyan
as well as the Yerevan-Sevan highway (in the direction of vehicles entering Yerevan)

Such devices will also be placed for a short period of time on other other streets in the Armenian capital.
