France to Serve as an Example for Other Countries: Armenia Parliamentary Deputy Speaker

France will serve as an example for other countries so they understand that denying genocide is as much of a crime as committing genocide, said Republican Party of Armenia spokesperson, National Assembly vice-chair Eduard Sharmazanov, speaking to journalists in Yerevan today and saying thanks to the French Senate for adopting a bill that criminalizes denial of any genocide (including the Armenian Genocide).

The voting in the Senate yesterday, in Sharmazanov’s opinion, shows that Armenian authorities, led by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, have adopted the right policy in international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
