For Armenia, Vartan Oskanian (pictured) is a very professional character; he has years of experience in working in different sectors, and if he wants to participate in the electoral processes, it’s his right, said Prosperous Armenia party (BHK) MP Vardan Bostanjyan, speaking to journalists in Yerevan today, weighing in on the news that Armenia’s former foreign minister is likely to make a political comeback. Recall, Oskanian said in a written statement that “talk of his involvement” with BHK is “not without basis” and that he has had such discussions with the Prosperous Armenia party.
The party hasn’t yet discussed including Oskanian in the Prosperous Armenia party list for the 2012 parliamentary elections, Bostanjyan added.
“Oskanian said he’s still searching — maybe he wants to get into HHK [the Republican Party of Armenia]?” he said.
The MP refused to comment on rumors of former president of Armenia Robert Kocharian being included on the BHK ticket, advising the press to confirm the news from Kocharian himself. Epress.am called head of Kocharian’s office Viktor Soghomonyan, who refused to comment on the news.
Bostanjyan also mentioned that BHK has already begun to prepare for the elections: soon it will prepare an election platform, which will allow the party to establish closer ties with voters.
