Activists protesting Armenia's accession to the Russian-led Customs Union and Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Armenia today gathered in Liberty Square to march through the streets of central Yerevan.
Initially, police formed a human chain, not allowing the march to move forward, toward Northern Ave. Protestors, however, broke through and marched along the central pedestrian artery.
Marchers were chanting, "We are the owner of our country", "Free, Independent Armenia", "Putin, Out!" and other slogans.
