Journalists only notice the mistakes of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) members, ignoring violations of other Members of Parliament, believes chair of the parliamentary ethics committee, HHK MP Davit Harutyunyan.
Journalists asked Harutyunyan to comment on the behavior of HHK lawmakers yesterday, in particular, recalling that MP Karen Karapetyan had called a journalist a "goat" while MP Arakel Movsisyan responded inappropriately to MP Zaruhi Postanjyan.
"You know, it depends on the boundaries of what you consider correctness. The boundaries can be different. Let he who has been offended go to court. If there is the option of judicial protection, I don't think the ethics committee will touch the issue. As a result, we address cases where there is no possibility of judicial protection," he said.
According to him, Postanjyan engaged in a "shameful act" yesterday. "Zaruhi Postanjyan yesterday took the deputies' cards. That's like puncturing a deputy's car tires so he doesn't go to work. It truly was a shameful act," he said.
