"The topic of the brawl in the [Yerevan] Theatre of the Young Spectator yesterday is closed," theater director Hayk Kheranyan told Epress.am today, advising "not to complicate the situation." Recall, at the end of a performance yesterday, students of School No. 114 assaulted the actors in the lobby.
"It's all over, everything's all right, and if there was something more, I would've called the police. It's all been settled and resolved," insisted Kheranyan.
He admitted that such incidents occur often in their theater. "It's just that yesterday's students were in the higher grades. They behaved somewhat poorly, and the actors scolded them. That's all," he said.
"We are always ready for such situation since we are dealing with school-age children," he concluded.
Newsbook.am yesterday reported [AM] that during a performance of Alexander Shirvanzade's Artiste, there was commotion in the hall, which, however, the teachers accompanying the students ignored.
The performance was interrupted several times, as the actors were unable to recite their lines and play their roles.
"After the performance, young actor Kajayr Hakobyan approaches the students in the theater lobby and reprimands them. The teenagers, it seems, were waiting for this: they attacked the actor as a group and the real massacre began. The other actors who intervened were also beaten; meanwhile, the teachers, standing at a distance, were watching indifferently," Newsbook.am reported.
