Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday signed a decree to concentrate financial flows in one ministry. According to the decree, the State Revenue Committee, adjunct to the Republic of Armenia (RA) Government, was combined with the RA Ministry of Finance, and the head of the customs and tax authorities became the finance minister. Thus, the former head of the State Revenue Committee, newly appointed RA Minister of Finance Gagik Khachatryan (pictured) not only maintained his position, but also received a broader mandate.
Now both the collection and spending of funds will be carried out in the same structure.
