Wounded in Saturday’s Vernissage Shooting Still in ICU

The condition of the wounded in the May 17 shooting in Yerevan's "Vernissage" is stable, Yerevan State Medical University press officer Alexandra Harutyunyan informed Epress.am today.

Note, the injured were operated on in the No. 1 University Hospital.

"Everything is fine for Albina Badalyan; she is in stable condition. Norayr Harutyunyan's life is not in danger; his condition is stable; the wounds normal. Mnatsakan Sukiasyan is conscious and in a serious, but stable condition. Myasnik Hayrapetyan and Valeriy Hovhannisyan  are in serious, but stable conditions — also conscious. All are now in the Intensive Care Unit; there is no word yet on their discharge," she said.

Recall, the gunshot wounds were inflicted by Gor Arakelyan, 29, who is Prosperous Armenia MP Karo Karapetyan's son-in-law. Arakelyan on Saturday got into a fight with Norayr Harutyunyan and Valeriy Hovhannisyan near the Yerevan outdoor market known as "Vernissage". The other three injured were random passers-by.
