In connection with the June 11 death of soldier Derenik Aram Manukyan, the Armenian Ministry of Defense Investigation Service launched a criminal case under charges of RA Criminal Code Article 373 Section 3 ("breach of firearms handling regulations, resulting in human death"). This was conveyed to Epress.am by RA Defense Ministry Investigation Service press officer Mery Sargsyan.
Under suspicion of committing the aforementioned crime, rank-and-file soldier Volodya Babikyan was arrested. An investigation is underway.
Recall, on June 11, the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army reported the death of 20-year-old Manukyan, who received a gunshot wound to the head.
