19-Year-Old Soldier Dies from Enemy Bullet, Claim Karabakh Authorities

At around 10:50 pm on June 24, military conscript Armen Avetisyan, 19, received a fatal gunshot wound from an enemy bullet at the combat outpost of one of the military units stations in the eastern direction of the Line of Contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijan troops, reports the defense authorities of the de facto Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. No other details are provided.

According to the official statement, an investigation is underway. 

This month alone, the Nagorno-Karabakh and Republic of Armenia defense ministries reported 4 deaths from enemy bullets. Apart from Armen Avetisyan, Senior Sergeant Narek Poghosyan, 26, was killed on June 19 in Nagorno-Karabakh, and military conscripts Andranik Yeghoyan and Boris Gasparyan were both killed on June 5 at the border with Nakhichevan. 

Another death was recorded on June 20 in one of the military units in Ararat marz (province), but the RA Ministry of Defense on the same day changed its previously stated two causes of death, launching a criminal case under a murder charge.
