Civil society activist Vardges Gaspari today once again found a heap of dung dumped outside his doorstep. Gaspari told Epress.am that his neighbors told him: "Be careful, [so that] they don't do something worse."
In Gaspari's opinion, the manure was placed outside his door and threats were conveyed to him through the neighbors because yesterday he held a protest outside the house of Serzh Sargsyan "who holds the position of president."
The activist, standing outside Sargsyan's house and holding a sign that read "More villainous [and] unworthy than the most immoral pimps," was expressing his viewpoint on the harsh actions of the police against participants of a demonstration yesterday protesting the electricity price hike. Recall, 27 people were detained, many were injured, and at least 2 people were taken to hospital during yesterday's demonstration.
"I called [Chief of the President’s Staff] Vigen Sargsyan to tell Serzh Sargsyan to come, pick up and take this trash," he said.
Note, Gaspari, who is involved in a number of court proceedings against police officials, two days ago received a writ that the court has placed a ban on his bank accounts and property. Requesting this of the court was police officer Aida Demirkhanyan who is suing Gaspari and asking the court to confiscate 1 million AMD from Gaspari as compensation for insulting her.
The last time Gaspari found dung outside his doorstep was after his protest in front of Armenian Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan's house.
