The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia currently has no information as to whether any citizens of Armenia were injured or killed in today's crash in the Moscow metro.
The press, information, and public relations department of Armenia's MFA informed Epress.am that the Armenian Embassy in Russia is currently verifying this information, and once information becomes available, the MFA will make it public.
Recall, oe of the trains in Moscow's metro derailed this morning. According to the BBC: "Scores were injured, some seriously, when a packed commuter train braked abruptly between stations in the west of the city in the morning rush hour […] The cause of the crash — one of the worst incidents ever on the metro — is reported to be a power surge."
So far, at least 19 people have been confirmed dead with dozens more seriously injured.
The BBC also cites the Russian Interfax news agency as reporting that no foreigners were among the injured.
