Criminal Case Opened Regarding Soldier Who Died in Karabakh (UPDATED)

On December 4, 19-year old soldier Artur Margaryan died from a gunshot wound at approximately 3:40 pm in a southeastern military base of the NKR Defense Army, reports the official website of NKR Ministry of Defense.

The soldier was found in the near periphery of the military base with a bullet wound to his rib cage. Artut Margaryan died while being transferred to the hospital.

A criminal case has been implemented against an unknown person for leading Margaryan to commit suicide. According to the Investigative Committee’s statement, an autopsy of the corpse has been assigned, as well as a forensic-traceological study of fingerprints.

The NKR Defense Army notes that an investigation is taking place.
