Armenian Army Allowed Azerbaijani Side to Retrieve Corpse After Saboteur Infiltration, Says Defense Ministry Spokesperson

Yesterday, a saboteurs infiltration was halted on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, consequently leading to the death of an Azerbaijani soldier. News of the incident was posted on Defense Ministry Press Spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan's Facebook page.

According to the Defense Ministry representative, the saboteur attempt took place near the village of Baghanis, Tavush marz (province). The saboteur group’s attempt was neutralized, while one of the bodies of the group had been left in between the two armies' posts. During the skirmish a 79-year old shepherd Seryozha Sargsyan was also killed.

Today, Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Epress.am that the Armenian side allowed the Azerbaijani side to retrieve the body from the inter-positional area. Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry Press Spokesperson spoke to Azerbaijani media and denied the information of the dead soldier.
