On March 19, at approximately 8:30 AM, a special military unit of the Azerbaijani forces attacked a northern military position (Gulistan, Shahumyan) of the Nagorno-Karabakh defense army, reported the press service of the NKR Ministry of Defense. According to the official statement, the positioned unit with the help of reinforcements made the adversary flee and destroyed their group near their position in an approximately two-hour battle
The Ministry reported that three soldiers of the defense army, 49-year Hakob Khachatryan, 20-year old Eduard Hayrapetyan, and 20-year Arshak Harutyunyan, died during the confrontation with the Azerbaijani attackers. Four other soldiers were wounded during the battle.
