Five political forces which have received 5 or more percent of the total votes cast during the May 3 Parliamentary elections will be represented in the National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, according to the preliminary results released by the Central Election Commission of NKR on Monday, May 4.
Based on official figures, the majoritarian representative at the NK NA, the Free Homeland party, chaired by Prime Minister of NKR Arayik Harutyunyan, has won the election, receiving 47.3% of the total votes.
The Democratic Party of Artsakh, chaired by NK NA speaker Ashot Ghulyan, has received 19․1% of the votes; the Armenian Revolutionary Federation – 18․81%; “Movement-88” party – 6․93%; and opposition National Rebirth party – 5․38%.
The Communist Party of Artsakh and “Peace and Development” party have received less than the required 5 percent of the total votes cast.
A list of the MPs who have been elected to the Parliament by majority vote will be published later, the Central Election Commission said.
