Armenian PM’s Son Hired His Relatives at Leadership of Artashat Municipality: Press

Shortly after assuming office in July 2015, the mayor of Artashat Argam Abrahamyan, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan's son, has made major changes to the staff, hiring his relatives and friends to top positions at the Municipality, local “Hraparak” newspaper writes.

Abrahamyan has specifically replaced the deputy mayors and appointed two new people – Gagik Poghosyan, the grandson of the Prime Minister's aunt and brother of Republican MP Karine Poghosyan, and Samvel Minasyan, former deputy governor of Ararat province, Hovik Abrahamyan's protege who was relieved of his position in 2014 by then Ararat governor, current nature protection minister Aramayis Grigoryan.
