Man Arrested on Suspicion of Stabbing to Women in Gyumri

A 37-year-old cobbler was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of stabbing two women in Gyumri on December 25, Karen Gabrielyan, the prosecutor of Armenia’s Shirak province, told Aravot.am.

“The victims were taken to the Gyumri medical center with severe stab wounds. The alleged culprit has already been identified and arrested; an investigation is ongoing,” he said, adding that the man was most probably not sober at the time of the attack.

Recall, at around 10pm on Monday to women, Gh. H and Ts. G., filed a report with the Mush police department, alleging that they had been attacked by Gagik K. during an argument in an apartment on Gyumri’s Vazgen Sargsyan street.
