Forbes has compiled a list of the 15 highest-profile election scandals that took place in the past decade, according to Aravot.am, the online version of the local daily Aravot.
The post-election crackdown of peaceful demonstrators on Mar. 1–2, 2008, in Yerevan, Armenia, which resulted in the death of 10 people, also made the list at number 7.
The list also includes Russia (in 2003), Abkhazia, the US (Nov. 7, 2000), the Republic of Bashkortostan, Yugoslavia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Lithuania, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Nicaragua and the Republic of South Ossetia.
