Europe has allocated quite a large sum of money to the Armenian government to develop the IT sector, reports Chorrord Inqnishkhanutyun, citing its own sources.
The local newspaper reports that the funds (in effect, grants and loans) must be directed toward those IT companies that apply and win the tender.
Meanwhile, according to the paper, the RA Ministry of Finance, which received the funds, is distributing the money among companies close to the ministry. The tenders are only a formality, as the "winners" were decided from the start.
Leading IT companies are understandably concerned and are preparing to take action in the near future, reports Chorrord Inqnishkhanutyun.
