Shant Harutyunyan was moved from Yerevan Kentron penitentiary to Nubarashen psychiatric clinic late in the evening on Nov. 20, said Harutyunyan's attorney, Inessa Petrosyan, who visited her client this morning.
The attorney informed Epress.am that Shant Harutyunyan told her the clinic staff greeted him normally and there were no problems. Harutyunyan also informed his attorney of the Special Investigation Service's decision to refuse launching a criminal case in connection with his being subjected to violence while in police custody. The defense intends to appeal the decision, as well as the court's decision to move Harutyunyan to a psychiatric facility.
