During a recent auction in Batumi, the local oil refinery was sold for $15 million USD to Turkish company Batumpetrol, reports Rosbalt.ru.
According to Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia, this will be a company that will operate for a few years. In her words, the new company will secure jobs for numerous individuals. “Furthermore, the company is ecologically clean,” said Kobalia.
The Georgian government has also declared a tender for the purchase of the Ministry of Economy building in the center of Tbilisi. The preliminary price? $4 million USD. This is the third time that this building is up for sale.
