Armenian National Congress (HAK) member Tigran Arakelyan once again submitted a request to Yerevan City Hall to hold a rally in Yerevan’s Freedom (Liberty) Square, but this time on Sept. 29.
Talking to Epress.am, Arakelyan said that he had also submitted a request yesterday to hold a rally on Sept. 28. Discussion on both requests will take place tomorrow, Sept. 11, at 10 am and 4 pm.
As previously reported, the opposition group had submitted requests to hold rallies on Sept. 17 and 24, both of which were denied. After being denied a permit, HAK coordinator Levon Zurabyan said the group is beginning the process of “re-conquering” Freedom Square and will submit a request every day and in the case of being denied (again), will file appeals in all possible courts.
